I created my first baby sling to use with my infant daughter.
Before she could walk, I carried her just about everywhere in
the sling. I used it so frequently that friends and family
began making requests for my homemade slings. People we met
on the street or while shopping were equally intrigued, and
soon enough, I had requests from them too. There seemed to
be such interest in this sling that I decided to go into the
business of making them, and AVABABY was born!
I have had many occupations. None of them were as
unique and challenging as being a mom. During my daughter's
early months, I was able to readily pick up on her cues when
she was in the sling. I even began using elimination
communication with her at the young age of three months. Now,
she is so accustomed to the sling that she finds a stroller
a novelty.
Now that my daughter is older, and doesn't always wish to be
carried, I have discovered the sling's many other uses. You
can use it to carry: laundry, treasures your child finds on
a walk, vegetables from your garden, groceries, toys, etc.
